Tyn Lon Isaf Reviews

Jacqueline
We had a wonderful week here. Completely peaceful with the sound of stream from the bottom of the garden. Cosy, with the log fire on.Private with lovey gardens surrounding the cottage. Exactly what we needed. We had everything we needed. Lovely comfy beds. Games. Low beams and my husbandâ??s head didnâ??t do well beams 1 Husband 0 . But he got used to ducking. Definitely recommend and weâ??ll be back.Great communication from the owner. Thank you so much.
Paula
Beautiful quirky old cottage in a peaceful settingâ?¦ what more could you ask for. Wonderful week, thank you.
Jake
A beautiful old cottage in a very secluded setting with a lovely rushing river running through the garden. Tall people might struggle with the low beams. Very well equipped and clean. Perfect for relaxing and exploring the local area.
Michael
Garden could do with tidying up but location excellent.
Amy
We really enjoyed our holiday at Ty'n Lon which was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Beautiful, peaceful location with fabulous views over to Cadair Idris. We hope to return.
Ceri
Had a really lovely stay. The house was perfect for us. We loved the authentic interiors. Great communication. Easy to find and access. The setting is beautiful and having the stream/river running past the house was really special. Just so peaceful. Would absolutely stay again. Thanks.
Helen
We had a wonderful week at the cottage, which is full of character and in a beautiful location. It is very quiet and peaceful yet within easy striking distance of local towns and tourist attractions. A great place to stay to enjoy the walking in the lovely Welsh countryside. The cottage was cosy and comfortable. We will definitely return!
Sean
Lovely cottage - Beautiful surroundings. Private grounds with a beautiful garden and a stream running beside. Enough parking for 2 cars. Quiet location, well out of the way but close enough to all amenities - perfect for the dogs. Cottage is very well equipped - has everything needed - however, as its an old cottage there are some low beams (after a couple of bumps, you'll soon remember them) Weather was fabulous the week we stayed which made it even better Plenty of walks and hikes - from right from the front door, and choice of beaches nearby. Would highly recommend
Patricia
We had the most wonderful time at this cottage and would love to stay again. Brilliant in every way.
Adam
The cottage is set within its own private grounds, pet frendly, good parking, and well appointed facilties, certainaly very warm for a winter visit, with a abundant supply of hot water. Its location allows for some stunning walks if your fit directly from the cottage, and some stunning beaches and places to explore only a short drive away. Ideal for a private hideaway breaks or indeed familys wanting a good traditional base after a days exploring. We enjoyed our break in Jan, and would have no hesitation to return.

The cottage was very nice ,really cosy and quirky.Just off the beaten track but not isolated.Plenty of walking from the front door, a few hills but this is Wales.Did a lovely bike ride along the estuary from Dolgellau to Fairbourne.Weather was good.Sunbathing on the beach on Nov 7th canâ??t be bad

An oasis of peace! A wonderful cottage nestled in breathtakingly beautiful scenery. Location for exploring the west coast and deeper into Snowdonia is perfect. One very minor negative, beware of the low beams!!
Helen
If you want peace and tranquility, unspoiled rural surroundings (with a stream running through the garden) and a much-loved home with real character, not a bland, IKEA-equipped holiday house, Ty'n Lon Isaf is for you. Over 400 years old, it is undeniably quirky, with low beams (mind your head!), uneven floorboards and antique furniture. But it is warm, comfortable, well-equipped and spotlessly clean. Highly recommended.
Mathew
The most idilic and beautiful setting you can ask for, we wanted to switch off from the world and this is the perfect place to do so! Itâ??s so close to amazing beaches and Snowdonia National park if you want to venture out. We will be back x
Alison
A nice clean well equipped cottage set in beautiful surroundings.
Julie
Lovely cottage and gardens
Paul
Very nice cottage with a lovely garden and nice location
Maria
A wonderful cottage with a beautiful garden. So peaceful. You will have to be fit to walk up and down the road to the cottage. Just over the cattle grid is a house selling honey, if you love honey get some. It's the best honey I've tasted.
Ajit
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay despite the indifferent weather. The house was very comfortable (I loved the small study area upstairs) and the sorrounding was superb. The sound of the fast flowing stream in the garden, had such a magical feel to it! We did some of the well known walks and bike trails (Precipice Walk, Mawddach Trail) but there are plenty of walking routes right from the house itself, as one climbs up the road by the house. Hope to return again!
Ian
The cottage was lovely! Perfectly located nestled in the hills away from ambient town lighting or even a whisper and yet accessible to the surrounding region. Kitchen and facilities were spot on, a welcome home away from home with many original and new features. We loved having our morning coffee next to the river! Thank you!
Martin
A great place to stay in Snowdonia. We found the constant murmur of the stream relaxing and a great place to try out the ice bath technique of athletes to recover from strenuous activity. Tynlon boasts fantastic walks from its front door. A treck uphill leads you to open country. Looking back towards the cottage, Cader Idris forms a fine back drop to the River Mawddach. Once the mountain in front of you is scaled views of Snowdon off to the North await. We found old gold mines within walking distance and sorted through a spoil heap just in case some had been missed. The coast at Barmouth is a short drive away and has a year round dog friendly section of beach to enjoy. Barmouth Co-Op is also where bought our provisions for our stay. Sitting at the southern edge of Snowdonia Tynlon is perfectly placed to explore the area on foot or after a short drive. Reviewed by Martin
