48 Glan Y Mor Reviews

Lovely cottage with views from the garden to die for! Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The shower was great and there was plenty of hot water. The garden was a great size for our poodle and very secure. There was an outside table and seats which we made full use of. Loved it here and would like to stay again!

Thank you for giving us a great stay at your property. It was clean and comfortable and all the amenities you could want to make it feel home from home. The views looking across to Barmouth was fantastic especially with the good weather we had for most of the week. Thank you for the welcome pack it was very much appreciated .Our cockapoo loved the walks and chasing his ball on the beach.
We enjoyed staying at this bungalow in Fairbourne. The location was fine and everything about the facility was good and acceptable to us. You don't need to publish the next section. I have marked the facilities and maintenance down to be able to let the owner know that the toilet is showing signs of needing attention vis. The syphonic membrane requires replacing if one is available for this type of syphon you may have to replace the whole syphon for a newer design.
Third time we have stayed at this gem of a property. Great location for walks and spectacular views over the estuary. Would definitely recommend.
Andrew
An attractive and comfortable holiday home with superb views from the sitting room and conservatory, wellequipped and with effective heating throughout.
Glenys
The property was all we could wish for. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils. The beds were super comfy. There was a folder with easy to follow instructions for using all gadgets. The garden was totally enclosed as stated. There was a lovely welcome basket, too. Thank you for a thoroughly enjoyable stay.
Anthony
Nice and well laid out little holiday home. Had everything that we needed, brilliant views from the conservatory and back garden all the way over to Barmouth. Nice and peaceful, It was the perfect base for exploring Fairbourne and beyond. Some great walks and the Fairbourne steam railway. Sadly it was really let down by the overall cleanliness, which was poor, the whole place was in need of a decent clean.
Our second stay at this property. Well equipped bungalow with stunning views. Comfortable beds and the whole property was clean & tidy. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, helped by the very good weather. Welcome goodies very much appreciated
Lovely little bungalow, owners clearly take pride in ensuring that everyone feels welcome and accommodated for. Unfortunately on arrival we noticed a dirty porch floor and the carpet didnt look as though it had been vacuumed prior to our arrival. That said, we had a lovely comfortable stay and will hopefully return again next year.
This was the second time weve stayed. Its a beautiful little bungalow, in the most gorgeous setting. Although small, it has been well planned with all you could need. The little conservatory on the back is perfect, for a cup of something to sit and admire the view! Great little kitchen and lovely shower in the bathroom! We loved staying again thanks for the opportunity! The only comment would be that our dog missed the little porch on the front she used to enjoy sitting in there and watching the world go by! and there was a strong musty smell especially when we first arrived but also, less so, each time wed been out for a while! It didnt put us off and Im sure well be booking again for next year! Thanks again!
Clearly a great deal of thought went into the planning of No. 48 everything is laid out to make it comfortable, smart and contemporary. The bed was incredibly comfortable, too. Communication with the owner was great, too. As a base for exploring the area around Fairbourne it is ideal walking distance to the sea and the shops in the village and an easy drive to places further afield. We actually checked to see if 48 is available to book again later in the year when we have a week off, but as an indication of how popular the place is, it is already booked up. But we would gladly stay again.
Barbara
We had a lovely week and so lucky with the weather. The views were spectacular over the mountains. Comfortable, warm and everything you need. Thankyou.
Beverley
Loved our holiday, so peacefull, A home from home.
Had a very comfortable week at 48 Glan y Mor. Cottage small but fine for four. Only a couple of negatives involving layout but not solvable without internal refit. i Toilet advertised as separate to bathroom which technically it is but unfortunately only accessible THROUGH bathroom so seperation no help in accessibility when four staying b double bedroom has no fresh air access when windows opened as only open onto front conservatory. Felt need to open front door and inner bedroom door to gain fresh air. However, small negatives and very satisfied overall.
Lovely, cosy little property with stunning views across towards Barmouth and the hills. Loved sitting in the little conservatory and watching the animals and enjoying the peace and quiet. The beds were warm and comfy, kitchen was well equipped with all we needed and a great little enclosed garden we could let our dog out into. Lovely decor great blackout curtains in main bedroom! Parking was our only negative, as it is communal and there wasnt always room to park near the property especially as some chose to park badly so be prepared to unload and move. Felt very safe there though.

If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of life , then this is the perfect stay. I have many happy childhood memories of Fairbourne and this did not disappoint. The bungalow is tucked away, in walking distance of everywhere in Fairbourne and has the most beautiful views of the mountains from the back garden. If you want to go out for the day the train station is also a short distance from the bungalow, we had lovely days out in Barmouth and followed the beautiful coastal road to Aberdovey. The bungalow itself has everything you need, it is comfortable and clean. There was a lovely complimentary basket on arrival of wine, biscuits and some Bara Brith a lovely touch! Again if you would like beautiful views and some peace and quiet then this is the place for you! Thank you for a wonderful stay.
A beautiful, cosy bungalow fitted out to a very high standard.
Mrs Brenda
When we arrived we found 4 dirty cups in kitchen cupboard conservatory skirting board was full of dog hairs . and round the back door was very dirty every where else was ok .
Property lovely and extremely clean had everything we needed. Lovely surprise with wine and cake thank you would stay again.
Elaine
The front conservatory needs the ant holes sorting the lime scale in the bath isn't very welcoming. Overall the bungalow is cosy and well equipped and in a lovely area .would come again.
Stephanie
Lovely little bungalow. Very well equipped and clean. The views from the garden are absolutely stunning. We had a lively holiday and would happily return again.
Lovely bungalow with fantastic views, very clean and comfortable
This is a wonderful, clean, well equipped and comfortable bungalow with truly stunning views of the nearby estuary and Welsh hills. It has to be the best views we have ever had in self catering accommodation and we loved listening to the birds in the back garden. The neighbours were friendly and helpful and we had one of the best holidays we have ever had. We did lots of walking in the local area and enjoyed trips to Barmouth and Aberdovey. We would recommend this property wholeheartedly and would definitely like to return.
Deborah
It was very clean, nice and quiet location. I felt it needed garden furniture eg table large enough for at least four people and parasol. People need to be made aware this bungalow is situated on a residential estate, as at times the neighbours were carrying out maintenance on their properties. Also I felt it lacked privacy being overlooked by said neighbours.
Louise
We had a wonderful stay at your bungalow, fell in love with the views and your accommodation. Ideal for the dogs, with the enclosed garden. Lovely walks on the beach and surrounding area, we shall definitely return. Just one point for your cleaner to look out for, there were crumbs under the microwave on our arrival.
Beverley
Very pleasant holiday let. Owners left welcome gifts and friendly words plus lots of useful information. The bungalow was spotlessly clean and it was a relaxing environment to be in. The view from the conservatory was superb and the quietness of the locality was wonderful.
Andrea
Lovely cottage. Could do with a table and chairs in the garden as the plastic chairs were starting to deteriorate its such a lovely view from the garden and a lovely place to sit. We would love to visit again and have recommended to friends
Very comfortable and cosy cottage. Great location, beautiful mountain view. The guidebook in the sitting room provides comprehensive information about the nearby attractions and walking routes. There is no hair dryer, make sure to bring your own. Only one toilet roll and very small amount hand wash liquid on arrival. As there are two shops at the corner, it can be easily sorted out. A bottle of wine from the owner as a gift. A great and warm welcome.Definitely will go back.
