Ynys Reviews

This was our second stay at Ynys, and it was as good as the first time. Would highly recommend this property, fab location, great scenery and very quiet and peaceful. The owners were super helpful recommending a tyre service garage after a blowout in Barmouth! Will definitely be going back again. 1010.

The accomodation was ok. Kitchen was excellent, well kitted out. The bedrooms were ok, but the ensuite was very small and the wardrobe in the bedroom with the ensuite was difficult to get into as there was a set of draws restricting the door from opening wide enough. The lawn garden was excellent, especially if you have a dog.
A lovely cottage in beautiful area. Cosy cottage well equipped with all you need. Log burner with logs, which was nice to light after a day out Spotlessly clean. Biscuits, milk, tea and coffee when we arrived which was a lovely
Another fabulous stay at Ynys. This is our second visit and it certainly lived up to our expectations. The location is simply idyllic, beautifully peaceful and stunning surroundings. The cottage is extremely comfortable, clean and well resourced. The games room is a wonderful bonus. Already booked again for next year!
We had a lovely holiday in this charming cottage. It had everything we needed. Our granddaughters particularly loved the games room. It is well situated for visiting the surrounding attractions and close to the beach. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. Although we didn't see the owners they left a box of biscuits which was a lovely thought and much appreciated. We would highly recommend this cottage. Everything was excellent. Many thanks.

Lovely property and location
This is a lovely cottage in a very quiet location with amazing views in all directions. Has everything you will need for a perfect holiday. The hosts are friendly and welcoming, you couldnt ask for more.
Lovely place to stay and the owners are very nice and helpful well recommended
I enjoyed my break the owners where very friendly and came over and sorted out the broadband and they where happy to provide logs for the fire it was just perfect. Would stay here again
Ynys is a fantastic cottage, in an amazing location. We stayed for a week in September 2024, the cottage was very clean, and had everything we needed, including a gift of a box of biscuits, which went down very well after our 6 hour drive. The communication from the owner was clear and friendly. We will definitely be going back!
Just returned from the most wonderful week staying at Ynys. The cottage is perfect for our family of 4 with everything we needed. The beds were really comfortable and the location is idyllic, so peaceful with fabulous views. The games room is great for older kids and adults!. A well resourced kitchen and quality furnishings along with great outdoor space. We watched the sunset from just outside the cottage which was so lovely. Great for our dog too! Have been staying in and around Barmouth for over 20 years, but this has been the best cottage we have found yet. Owners easily contactable, biscuits, milk, tea and coffee on arrival were a lovely touch too. Already booked to return next year.
Great place to stay really convenient for Barmouth, Harlech, EryriSnowdonia national park. Quiet and accessed via private lane. Although the garden is not entirely enclosed there is a fence around it, our dog is small and could have walked under it, we stayed with her and she had plenty of space. We've stayed in multiple places over the years, this is one of the very best. Helpful and accessible owners who live on the same site, fast broadband with Smart TV. Although a washing machine isn't included in the details there are two in the laundry room. The cottage is clearly managed in a thoughtful and professional way. Complete absence of those small things that can irritate slow draining showers, no handle for the grill pan, tin openers that don't work. Highly recommend Yns for a great holiday.
Lovely property at the bottom of a private road very quiet and exceptionally clean any problems owners at the end of the phone. Strangely enough the only thing we missed was a teapot. Plenty of places to visit from the location of the property. Due to the stairs in the property it would probably not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
We spent a wonderful week at Ynys. The location is lovely and quiet tucked down a private road away from the main road with excellent views of mountains and sand dunes. The cottage is clean and cosy and is very well equipped there is everything you need for a happy and comfortable stay. Washing machines, tumble drier, pool table and air hockey are all available. The sunny garden is well kept and enclosed with a fence and gate excellent for children and dogs. Great communication with helpful owners. We would thoroughly recommend.
Second time Ive stayed here. Lovely quiet location on edge of village. Hosts just a call away if you have any problems. Id recommend this cottage.
Thank you for a fabulous stay. The cottage was clean and comfy and perfect for our needs. It was a perfect location for all we wanted to do. We loved how peaceful it was and the wildlife. We even saw the Northern lights on our last night!! We had never been to this area of Wales before I'm sure we will be back Thank you again

Beautiful location. Great communication with the owner. Nice and cosy cottage. Kids loved the playroom and play area outside.
Had a lovely weeks holiday, didn't want to leave! Cottage clean, tidy and well equipped. Bed really comfy. Quiet rural location but within easy walking distance to local shops. Friendly hosts, on hand if you have any problems. Beaches, cafes and pubs just a short drive away. Would recommend and stay again.
Very good cottage great place to stay especially with kids they could go and ... Very good cottage great place to stay especially with kids they could go and play and didn't have to worry about traffic or anything also a very quite place with some great walks will be staying again next year
We had a really nice time at Ynys. Its a lovely cottage and we arrived to find it clean and tidy with cake, tea, coffee, and milk waiting for us! The games room and play area was ideal for the children and kept them entertained along with the allimportant WiFi connection. The location meant we could easily get to everywhere we wanted, with beautiful beaches less than 10 minutes away. However, simply sitting in the garden enjoying the peace and quiet in the late afternoon sunshine had to be one of our favourite activities, and were already thinking about staying again next year.
We were not aware that there was no downstairs toilet but did discover a downstairs toilet in the laundry room ,nearby ,outside. The garden did not have a gate which would have been useful with toddler and dog but otherwise we were quite satisfied The owner came to fit a stair gate and this was appreciated .
Ynys is a lovely holiday cottage. Everything we needed for a cosy, comfortable stay was provided as well as quality biscuits, tea, coffee and milk to welcome us on arrival. The cottage is near the end of a country lane and we loved getting away from it all. The surrounding countryside and beaches are very beautiful and we plan to revisit.
Great place to say and friendly owners will be back
