Lovely little home away from home. The cottage was cosy and clean and was perfect for the 2 of us with our small dog. We loved waking up to beautiful views in the morning and hearing nothing but the birds. Would highly recommend!

We loved our stay at Y Bythwn. It was the perfect size for us and our two dogs. The location was perfect and secluded and there were gorgeous walks right out of the front door. The owner was on hand to answer any questions you had and was very welcoming. We walked for miles and will definitely be returning we have booked agin for next year! Many thanks for a lovely stay

Absolutely beautiful cottage in a stunning area! Loved the shower room! And the most comfortable bed! Lovely to wake up, open the window and listen to the little waterfall outside. Gorgeous outside area although a little chilly in evenings to use but I can imagine sitting out here in the summer months.

Y Bwthyn is a well appointed holiday home. Very cozy and warm for a couple and their pets. All the modern amenities are there, hob oven TV and wifi plus the outside areas for alfresco dining and parking areas. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
Cosy little cottage, just right for the two of us and our little jack Russell, great location, peaceful and quiet with a five minute walk to a fabulous pub and the mawdacchy trail. Garden space was great ,lovely on a sunny evening. Stairs could be a little tricky if you had mobility issues but fine for us 60 couple. Would definitely recommend and hope to return.
Mackenzie
Lovely cottage, enjoyed a three day stay here. Great location with beautiful surroundings. Just a few things I think would make the cottage even better some coat hooks and shoe rack to put coats and shoes after a muddy walk. A blind on the bathroom window for a bit of privacy. Overall a great stay and would definitely return.
Steven
Loved everything about the property and surrounding we will definitely be back
Dorothy
Suited us really well. Property very clean, well designed and had everything we needed. Owner helpful and easy to contact. Lovely quiet position surrounded by birdsong and close to an excellent pub in the estuary. We didnt find the spiral staircase a problem but I suppose could be awkward if mobility an issue.
A little gem of a cottage with fantastic outdoor facilities and glorious woodland settings one of the best we have stayed at , the narrow spiral staircase could be a problem for some as was the drive to the cottage, but the advantages were that we were in the heart of North Wales, short distance from the George 111 Hotel that provides excellent food and drink , we could have done with a small heater or radiator downstairs as not convenient to light the log burner before breakfast overall an excellent place to stay, hope to go back.

If you have mobility problems it's not the best place to be staying in
Rachel
A lovely little cottage the garden area came in very handy as we were lucky to have gorgeous weather. The house was well equipped with everything. Would definitely recommend.
The property was in a lovely location, and was of high quality. However, it was a bit disappointing that there was no welcome pack at all, one loo roll provided for 5 day stay and no hand wash in the bathroom, all minor issues but given the cost I think youd think these may be included. The couch is small and meant that comfort was missing from downstairs area. However the kitchen had good facilities and all you could need and the bedroom was nice too! Being near the George pub and trail such a pretty setting, was ideal. Overall a lovely break and stay.
What a lovely modern cottage ideal for 2. Quite a home from home. Lovely and quiet location with a great outdoor space. Great walks from the property. The spiral staircase is quite different, however is very narrow, which could pose a problem with some people. Would recommend and wouldn't hesitate to return.
Nicola
A beautiful, cosy cottage with amazing views
We had a wonderful stay at Y Bwthyn. The property has been cleverly renovated and has almost all it needs for a very comfortable stay. The garden is perfect and made our stay! We enjoyed lovely evenings sat outside with our dogs, and everything has been thought of in terms of outdoor comfort. In the cottage, there are a few things that would be helpful e.g a hand towel upstairs and downstairs, a place to hang coats but more importantly, I feel the owners and Sykes need to provide more information to potential visitors on the spiral staircase in the property. Living in a home with a spiral staircase, we thought it would be fine but it is a very narrow, steep spiral staircase which takes time and care to navigate. Not necessarily an issue, but it needs to be made clear so that future visitors can decide for themselves if it will pose them an issue. The area is gorgeous and as locals ourselves, wed recommend the Mawddach trail, the Torrent Walk Hotel in Dolgellau and the George for drinks and food!
