Love the place having now visited the location twice this year. Wonderful atmosphere. Wonderful location. Would recommend to anyone wishing to visit the area.
Michele
A delightful, charming property in a beautiful location. The cottage was very well equiped, with everything needed allowing for a lovely holiday. We couldn't fault anything, and would highly recommend it to others.
I have stayed in both 1 and 2 Hendoll cottage. Cannot fault the occomdation so comfortably and cosy. Really dog friendly no carpets throughout which is so easy to keep clean as it had been a bit rainy for a couple of days. All equipment in the house to be able to cook Any meal you would like. Shower is brilliant so much power !! Occomodation in good walking distance too the beech and pub !!! Trains regular and station a 15 min walk away. Cannot fault and will definitely be returning a 4th time and probably many more.

Lovely compact, comfortable and clean cottage. Had everything thing we needed and a great location for walking into Fairbourne and the beach and a short drive to Cadair Idris. Had everything we needed, the only improvement I could say would be that a sign would have been handy to denote which car parking space round the back, just found it a little confusing when I arrived. Other than that, perfect!
Lovely cottage, only downside was the humming from the air source heat pump all night, would book again but will take ear plugs!
We had a fantastic time. The cottage was exactly what we expected from the website. The description was accurate. The location and the property were perfect. We will stay there again
Very cosy, clean and comfortable cottage. Would recommend and book again. Area fabulous and beach so close.

We were disappointed the place needs a good clean under the heavy furniture ... We were disappointed the place needs a good clean under the heavy furniture there is a lot of mess the front of the bath is coming away The stairs are a night mare need some carpet or tread a child gate is needed the duvet is very heavy the patio furniture has had its day Wouldn't stay again the heating came on which wasn't needed
The cottage needs a deep clean and refresh. Lots of small things like blinds, rugs and cushions are all in need of replacing. It also needs a new settee and chair you feel like youre sitting on the floor. The furniture outside also needs replacing has its very dirty and rusty.
The cottage is in a perfect location. Close to the beach, a couple of shops and a decent pub. Lots of walks nearby. The cottage is clean and cosy.

Enjoyed our 4 night stay. Location is great if you have a smallmedium dog with you as you can walk to the beach easily or walk to Fairbourne train station to go to Barmouth Harlech instead of driving for a change. The barrestaurant and chip shop in nearby Fairbourne are both recommended..but do check for timings & days for chip shop opening! Cottage was warm and comfortable, only minor preferences would have been perhaps a small patch of grass in the garden instead of all the shrubs and it could do with a repaint in a few areas. However this did not distract from our stay. We would definitely return and thank you Ray owner who is easily contactable should you need him.
Beautiful location not far from some stunning walks. Local public houses dog friendly who offer lovely pub food. Cottage has all the comfort you need . Very clean on arrival really felt comfortable bringing our two dogs as floors all dog friendly so not worried about muddy paws ! Couldn't fault and will definitely return Oh and beds super comfy !!!
Very warm, good funrishings and dog friendly

Really enjoyed our stay will be booking again. Only negative was the fridgefreezer was broken but was allowed to use the one in the barn next door so was only a minor inconvenience and was replaced on the Friday before we left so was all good in the end. Was the most relaxing holiday Ive had in years.
Lovely comfortable stay. Quiet and peaceful, batteries recharged. Thanks Ray Nice to have met you. Sara and Daisy dog.
Amanda

Very clean and tidy and nice welcome pack too. Location is perfect, lots to do all around the area. Ray also drove all the way to us to resolve an issue we had very promptly. Perfect holiday.
Heather
Cottage so clean and comfortable. Beautiful setting, right by the beach. Couldn't fault a thing. Will be back. Amber and family.
Liked the cottage and location. Unfortunately, our July weather was more like that in April cool, showery and we couldn't use the cottage heating properly as there were no instructions for the thermostatcontroller. The timer was set on double Summer Time, but didn't seem to switch onoff on a timer anyway. We managed to switch on & off the heating manually by raising or lowering the temperature setting. We didn't manage to get the radio to work, although it was switched on and buzzing. We couldn't see the radio controls very well as ,like the thermostat, it was too high up and no handbook. Otherwise, we had a good time, and would recommend the cottage. It is well maintained, clean and comfortable. Just needs some basic instructions, especially for the heating and what to do with rubbish.
Judith
Lovely cottage with everything you need. Very clean and tidy. Peaceful and relaxing. Good access to mountains or a 12 minute walk to the beach in fairbourne, which is dog friendly in parts. Would recommend and would definitely go back even on my own.
A beautiful cottage surrounded by stunning scenery. The dog friendly beach is an easy walk from the cottage. A special thank you to the owner who drove from Birmingham to clean the patio after a recent flood, I really appreciated him going the extra mile being able to use the garden with my dog, made me feel safe. It was my first time away on my own.
Lovely cottage for two people and possibly 2 children. Cosy living room with a great woodburner and a well equipped kitchen. Very clean and well maintained.
Andrew
Dangerous front door steps irregular, multiple styles, slippy. Steps of both back doors slippy. 3 Steps below side gate are wood and, yes slippy. The whole is a gullly from the side lane into the garden of No.1. Yes I suffered muscle pulls and joint injuries, and I'm generally quite fit. Most dogs could easily get over the low back wall. Otherwise ths accommodation is good, credit when credit is due. AM
Another wonderful stay in Hendoll 1, simply perfect and the most comfy bed. This cottage has everything you need. I stayed here for a week on my own and I felt safe and not at all worried. Only one thing, an extra loo roll would come in handy as only one supplied for a week. Emily
Electric went off one night toilet was downstairs and bedrooms struggle for me ... Electric went off one night toilet was downstairs and bedrooms struggle for me disabled person hearing kept going off it was cold a lot off the time
Comfortable, cosy cottage in a quiet setting, ideally situated for numerous countryside walks. Beach within 10 minute walk and plenty of other panoramic views in a short drive. This cottage was an excellent central base for a relaxing stay with plenty of beautiful local dogwalks.
Lovely cottage and a great part of this country
Great place to be, walks from the house, lovely beach, shops near etc Cottage very comfy for 2 of us, 4 would be a squeeze. Main problem was it was cold downstairs in bedrooms, would recommend for summer stays but winter would be too cold thermostat upstairs so radiators didn't come on downstairs. Upstairs lovely wood burning stove, great shower, all you need. Small enclosed outside area, but so many dog walks from house it wasnt needed. Loved the quiet road and night sky.
We have visited this cottage before and this time everything remained of a very high standard. Spotlessly clean throughout well equipped and everything we required for our holiday. Good location with off road parking and within easy reach of several towns and beaches. Will definitely be returning
Alison
In many ways this is a really lovely property that is well equipped. Having said that, it wasn't perfect for us. The location is beautiful, and the house was tidy and clean, except for several wispy spiders in each room. To be fair, I should have expected that in a cottage of this style. There were a few small issues. The double bedroom didn't have enough space between the bed and the chest of drawers so several times I walked into the bed. The downstairs hall was very narrow, and the stairs were uncarpeted meaning they felt slippery without shoes. The heating system worked really well, but it was difficult to get much fresh air into the cottage. On the whole, I would recommend the cottage to any couple or small family that don't mind spiders!
Spotlessly clean ,spacious and well equipped cottage with a nice enclosed garden ideal for the dog ,
Lovely deceptively spacious 2 bed cottage. Quirky upside down design.Nice location, tranquil stream nearby nice to listen to.Would recommended
Lovely cottage very clean had a great break
Joanna
Fantastic cottage, great find. Fairbourne is a hidden treasure, having holidayed in Barmouth for the past 6 years it was a treat to stay somewhere quieter but still access to the busier town either by foot 3 miles or a 5 minute train ride. Cottage was very comfortable and clean, had everything I needed for my stay with two dogs. Enclosed garden, quiet location and very easy walk to a wonderful beach. Cottage bedrooms are on the ground floor with the kitchen and living area at street level which I loved, milk, tea, coffee and cake provided for arrival Owners very nice and great communication. I will definitely be back!
We were very happy with the standard of the cottage. It is very well presented and we had everything we needed. It is situated right in the heart of some stunning scenery with access to some great walks straight from the cottage itself. We really liked the character of Hendoll cottage with its period features and unusual layout. This was our second stay and we would definitely like to return in the future.
