Gwynfa Reviews

Fantastic place. Easy access to beach and shops. Facilities in house excellent. Owners very helpful with any queries. Would definitely visit again
Had a great stay at Gwynfa, the house was very comfortable, clean and was only a short walk into the town. The house would benefit from more storage for clothes in some of the bedrooms and possibly some seating outside. Fish and chips from The Mermaid are a must and food from The Last Inn was amazing. Would definitely recommend staying at Gwynfa.
What a house! ! It was perfect from start to finish. The lounge was spacious and the kitchen had everything you need including a large fridgefreezer. Just remember the garden has a hot tub in it and that is it no table and chairs as there is no room this did not bother us because the weather was perfect so we spent a lot of time on the beach. Bedrooms were luxurious and beds were super comfy. The games room was brilliant and very spacious. We would return in the future. Also extremely clean.
Angela
Brilliant, every thing we wished for and more. Great location, walking distance to shops and beach, highly recommend.
Lauren
We had a wonderful stay at Gwynfa house over Christmas the extra touches of the Christmas tree and Christmas garlands made it extra special for our family. The house was perfect in many ways It was extremely clean and well presented, all the bedrooms were of a good size and the bathrooms were finished to a high standard and completely spotless. The house was well equipped with everything that we needed and more. The two living spaces were great for our family to enjoy especially the games room! The location of the house was perfect and in walking distance of the town and beach which was an added extra for us. The hosts were really lovely and welcoming when we contacted them previous to our stay and were happy to answer any questions that we had. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we hope to stay here again in the future!
We had a fab stay! The location is excellent with the beach, shops, pubs and train station just a few minutes walk away. The house was a perfect size for the 10 of us with everything we needed for our stay kitchen utensils, washing machinetumble drier, even a toastie maker. The teens loved the games room, we barely saw them! The rooms were all a good size, the beds were super comfy and the bathrooms were amazing. A great place to stay for a large family get together.

Lovely property, suited us very well for a large family occasion. Hot tub , really warm and clean. Pool table games room was well used in the evenings. Only slight downside was lack of storage for clothes in bedrooms, very limited and ended up pretty much living out of cases, but not really an issue for the period we were there. All 7 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms are super comfortable. Would we go back? Definitely.
Lovely house that had everything we needed and was in the perfect location for us all to enjoy a fantastic family holiday.
A beautiful home in a gorgrous location. It was perfect for a break away with friends and our children. The hosts were very accomadating and communicated well.
An excellent property. Very clean and well maintained. Very high standard of decor. Well located for walking to beach in 10 mins and into Barmouth. Owner was really helpful and always responded to every text sent. 10 out of 10.
More practical storage in the bedrooms as no way near enough space to put clothes away or hang up. Children all got a rash from hot tub and it began to smell on 3rd day but we contacted the maintenance man and he came and addressed it right away. A clothes maiden would have been a plus to dry clothes, we bought a small washing line. Regardless of above the house was beautiful, beds unbelievably comfortable and w had a wonderful stay in Barmouth
Beautiful well presented house. Plenty room. clean and tidy with comfy beds! with great location for town and beach and the kitchen was well equipped apart from a cheese grater! We especially loved having an air fryer but it was tricky working out how to use it! Absolutely loved use of hot tub and games room was great fun for the teenagers who spent their time between the pool table local football courts and the hot tub! Would definitely recomend and return when we can!
A wonderful weekend stay with family at Gwynfa . The house had everything we needed and has been superbly decorated but keeping the character of a Victorian property . Beds so comfortable and amazing views from the front windows . Good to be able to walk into Barmouth , so didnt need to use cars . Would definitely recommend for a large group get together
Fantastic house, excellent decor and plenty of room. Beds very comfy. Showers were all great. Clean towels and fresh bedding. Nice touch with the mini welcome pack. Everything you need to enjoy a great family break. We stayed as a family for a 75th Birthday get together. Ages range from 275. Great experience had by all. Games room and hot tub a bonus. Would recommend and stay again. Thanks.
Lauren
This is the most perfect house for a family get together. The house is in pristine condition, with all rooms furnished in a lovely modern way. All the social spaces are large enough to fit everybody in. The facilities there are second to none, they really have thought of everything. On top of all this the beach and the lovely town of Barmouth is only a ten minute walk away. Will definitely be looking to return here! Thanks guys for a great stay.
Michael
We had an absolutely wonderful family holiday here. Everything was to a very high standard and we couldnt have asked for anywhere better. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Fantastic house. Plenty of space to accommodate our family group of 9 adults and 4 children. Well equipped. Good position to town, shops and beach. We all had a wonderful holiday. No complaints. Suggestions a couple of trays would be useful for carrying drinks from the ground floor, a bin in the games room and instructions on how to use the projector air hockey.
What a wonderful house! Everything you need is catered for here. A perfect location for exploring Barmouth and the surrounding area too. Highly recommend!
Melanie
The house is absolutely lovely and we had a great 3 night stay with our family and friends. It is in a great location, nicely decorated and very well equipped. The hot tub was fantastic after a nice walk down to Barmouth bridge & back. We would recommend the house and Barmouth too.
Michelle
We loved our stay as a big group of all ages, the house had something for everyone. All of the main facilities were there and the technology and hot tub were amazing. The only things we thought were missing was some more clothing storage in the bedrooms, and kitchen items, baking trays, more than one chopping board to separate meat veg, more sizes of saucepans that are better quality. We have already recommended the holiday property to friends and family, a brilliant stay thank you!
