A thoroughly enjoyable stay in a beautiful location. The bungalow was cosy, comfortable and very clean. Peter and Carol where very warm and welcoming. Already looking to return again in future.
Richard
We've stayed here a few years now, very good value bungalow in the best holiday spot for us in Wales. Comfortable for us, and amazing sunsets viewed from indoors. Only tiny drawback, no pyrex jug for cooking in the microwave
Spacious, spotless and comfortable in a lovely friendly village. Love the view from the front windows ,of the sea and mountains, The river walk, down to the beach,is lovely as is the walk to Barmouth over the bridge. Only suggestion would be a visitor book which we have always found to be very helpful
Clean, tidy and adequatley equipped property. Spoke with Peter the owner couple of days before the booking started very welcoming and keen to make sure that we enjoyed our stay. The property is perfect as a base for exploring the National Park and the village itself welcoming. Village store has the basic essentials, CoOp stores in either Tywyn or Dolgellaufor those wanting more. Thank You for a very pleasant stay.
Denise
We have stayed here many times. It really is a home from home. The rooms are spacious. We really like the fact that we have off road parking and also a garden to be able to sit and just chill. The sunsets from the living room are stunning. Just a short walk to the pebble beach. It is a lovely part of the country and the village is very peaceful and friendly.
Pauline
A spacious and comfortable holiday home in a beautiful village by the sea. Excellent public transport links and many spectacular walks close by. Wish wed been able to stay longer. Thank you for a lovely break.
Had a great week at Brynteg. Very comfortable & clean cottage. Had everything we needed. Even the weather was good. Easy access north & south via the local train. Great walking into the hills behind the cottage. Really hope we'll be able to return!
Elaine
We had a wonderful holiday at Brynteg. It is a beautiful spacious bungalow in a lovely location. There are many walks on the doorstep to enjoy and the beach is just 5 minutes away. We visited Barmouth, Aberdovey, Tywyn, Dolgellau and Fairbourne to name a few, plus there are many mountains and lakes to explore. A really lovely place to stay. Just a small suggestion to the owner...a shoe tray in the hall for outdoor shoes would be good but that is all as everything else you need is here.
Plenty of room for Grandparents, son and 2 grandchildren. Garden was spacious so kids could play., and there is a playground almost opposite. Friendly neighbours. Beach an easy walk, and kids loved the knitted stuff around the village and the trains! We had glorious weather. Unfortunately the local pub was closed and up for sale, and the village shop was closed for refurbishment, but shop at Hendre Hall was useful. Some slightly negative points The bed in the top bedroom is very creaky. The velux windows in top bedroom let in a lot of early morning light. The chairs could do with some felt pads on legs as they are noisy when moved over floor. TV reception is poor and choice of channels also not great. We took an Amazon fire stick which meant we could watch Olympics highlights in the evenings. It would have been useful to know what day bins were emptied Monday as they were full when we arrived. Things we enjoyed locally Local beach Dolgoch falls Cregennan Lakes Barmouth beach we went on train from Llwyngwril Fairbourne beach and railway
A real home from home and well placed to visit the likes of Barmouth and Harlech by road or train. There's a nice bar and farm shop just over the road. The hosts are also very friendly. I look forward to coming back.
Fantastic holiday very well equipped and comfortable, lots of DVD's, marvelous sunsets and views, lots of mountain drives.
Sandra
We had a great 5 days at Brynteg. Lovely spacious bungalow, we would definitely go again, plenty of facilties, clean. Comfy.warm.quiet.
Very pleased with the cottage. Clean and very comfortable, with all amenities. Would certainly go back.
The bungerlow was really comfortable and relaxing. Beautiful views from the bungerlow and amazing scenery easy to get to. Would highly recommend.
What a truly great property in a unbelievable location. I had a very calm and relaxing time in the picturesque village of Llwngwril and will most definitely be coming back. The location has to be seen to to be believed and whilst there i felt as if i had been transported to another world. Fortunately my visit coincided with the best weather of the year and provided a stunning backdrop to the area. The property is located opposite Hendre Hall which has a great little bar and coffee shop also there is a well stocked farm shop on the site as well. Also a short walk up the road is a friendly pub which provides great food for when you don't feel like cooking. The highlight for me were the numerous beaches all easily accessible these includedFairbournewhich is stunning as the sun comes down,Twynea small quiet resort,Barmoutha busier bustling place and my personal favourite Tal y Bontvery quiet and more remote. You will i am sure be able to curate your visit to your own personal taste and the area will take care of the rest. The property itself had absolutely everything that i needed and i am happy to provide a recommendation. Many thanks to you Peter and Carole.
Really lovely holiday home, plenty of space, only thing we didn't like was the creaky bed in the upstairs room.
This is a very nice and spacious dormer bungalow with large rooms, that is very close to a rocky beach, with a pub and a small village shop within a short walk. The rooms are comfortable and the kitchen is really nice and large easily catering for 6 occupants. I would recommend this property.
Brynteg is a really homely and surprisingly spacious bungalow, well laid out with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It's location is idealy situated for exploring the local and wider area of this lovely section of Welsh coastline..
Denise
This is the second time we have stayed here. Llwyngwryl is a lovely little village. It is an ideal base to travel to other areas, ie Aberdovey, Tywyn, Barmouth, Dolgoch falls. The property is very spacious and is a real home from home. The kitchen is well equipped. All the rooms are generous in size and the off road parking gives peace of mind. It is lovely to sit in the peaceful garden and have your meals or a drink. You can easily walk to the pebble beach and there is seating to look across to Barmouth. June 2013
Have a great time and brilliant weather. Property very spacious, comfortable and clean. Well equipped, good Wifi service. Met the owners as we were leaving and they are lovely people, keen to ensure you had a good stay and open to any suggestions.
Jackie
Lovely location, spotlessly clean. Good sized rooms and everything you need. The train station is close by ,so you can travel to different places. Go to Arthog ,there is a lovely walk up to the lakes and back down by beautiful waterfalls. I would recommend this holiday home ,it's a good base. Pete very helpful too. Shame about our weather .
Corinne
We just come back from a wonderful holiday in Brynteg, Llwryngwril! The cottage is spacious with 3 large bedrooms, a lovely sitting room and a great kitchen, well equipped where we were happy to cook most days. The internet connection is very good too. There is a garden where we relaxed on our last day before our journey back to London ! The place is very comfortable and we felt home straight away. It is a perfect location easy access to the lovely Llwryngwril beach, public footpaths and close to Barmouth, Tywyn and Dolgellau for great hiking in Snowdonia! The owner, Peter, is very friendly and could not be more helpful. The weather was very sunny all week apart from one rainy day . We are very happy with our stay ad it was an amazing break from our busy life! We will definitely recommend this place and might come back at some point !
Absolutely beautiful house, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, there is plenty of storage and even a good selection of dvd's. The garden is perfect for the kids to run around and they loved swapping beds so that each of them got a chance to have the room upstairs. Just incase there are other people as unobservant as me , the freezer is hidden in a cupboard next to the dining table, next to the fridge but facing the other way. There are plenty of walks in the local area and I can highly recommend the pub for a lovely meal. We will be back to stay soon.
Richard
We really enjoyed our stay in this property, plenty of room and clean and comfortable. Sea views out the front windows were lovely and being situated in such a pretty village only a few miles from the Barmouth railway walks was great. Only drawback was difficulty in getting in the property for disabled member of party but that was not the fault of the owner as property not advertised as disabled friendly.
Well equipped, comfortable, plenty of room, off road parking, close to beach, nice local pub, good base for visiting parts of Noth Wales.
Enjoyed our week in Brynteg. ..large spacious rooms...some lovely furniture and bedding...stunning sunsets and beautiful views...nice pub and local shop minutes away
Denise
Had a wonderful holiday. It was very bright and spacious and it really did feel like our home. We enjoyed sitting in the garden, which had an assortment of garden furniture to sit on. Enjoyed on a night a gentle walk past the pygmy goats, which my daughter loved, to sit on a bench over looking the sea and watch the sun go down.
A comfortable stay in a very convenient location great for the train station and a ride on the most scenic railway line in the UK, handy for getting to some of the smaller railways around Wales and Castles, brilliant for walking the local part of the Wales Coast Path and the hills above and beyond Fairbourne, Barmouth and the Mawddach Estuary and just in the right place to experience the most beautiful sunsets that are the speciality of this area, particularly when the weather is as glorious as it has been for our stay. Oh, and we loved the plastic tablecloth!!!
This property compared with others at similar prices we have visited was lacking in several ways. There were only 2 mirrors in the property neither of which where useable for hair dryers unless you brought an an extension lead with you .Also no hair dryer ,no towels, bottom door shelf on fridge missing .,baking trays were not clean enough to use .Also no hooks in the bathroom and my pet hate plastic tablecloths ! The position of the property was good ,wonderful scenery but the holiday was marred by lack of attention to detail .
Barbara
We found Brynteg very roomy, comfortable and well equipped. It was spotlessly clean. We enjoyed the sea view from the lounge. We did think double glazing would make the bungalow cosier as a lot of heat is lost through the large windows. Also some coat hooks in the hall and on the bathroom and bedroom doors would have been useful. We would certainly recommend this property.
Cheryl
Brilliant communications throughout with the owners, bungalow is very spacious ... Brilliant communications throughout with the owners, bungalow is very spacious with everything needed, lovely location 5 minutes from beach, bungalow was spotlessly clean, will definetly return Cheryl and kellard
The property is clean and spacious and the beds are comfortable! There is lots to do around the local area and the beach at Fairbourne is lovely and almost deserted much of the time. The local pub is friendly and the food is good, the wall across the estuary to Barmouth is great and there is a fab second hand bookshop in Barmouth too and another great bookshop in Dolgellau.
We were very pleased with this wonderful accommodation and would highly recommend. Very clean and comfortable with large spacious rooms throughout.
Anne Christine
A comfortable, clean and well equipped house, even in these unusual times. Hosts friendly and helpful. Easy access to bus, train and local walks. Would highly recommend this property.
The house was well equipped have not done self catering for a long time. Due to coved situation we cooked at home. Everything you could need was in the kitchen. A real homely place in a beautiful spot. Owner was helpful when we spoke to him suggesting nice walks. A real welcome break feeling safe in all this madness
Richard
Brynteg is a spacious house overlooking Cardigan Bay. The view of the sea from the front of the property changed every day with some fabulous sunsets in the evening. The local pub has been closed this year but the shop is just a short walk away. The owners had prepared the house beautifully and has every modern convenience. The shower and bathroom were excellent. We enjoyed our time there as there is so much to see and do in the local area. We visited Portmeirion, The Mach Loop where we saw a Hawk jet scream through at low level, the local steam railway, Snowdonia and Snowdon, Harlech, and also enjoyed walks in the many local beauty spots with lakes and waterfalls. Staggered by the lack of traffic, excellent road network, and stunning scenery, this is a holiday for someone who enjoys nature and beauty rather than bright lights and night life. We found the local people friendly, helpful and welcoming. Thank you for welcoming us to your lovely cottage.
Andrew
Bungalow first class plenty of room very relaxing beautiful views would definitely return and recommend. Apart from the bungalow we had in Florida this is probably the best accommodation weve stayed in. But we didnt like it we loved it
