Bryn Hafod Reviews

The house was stunning and a welcome pack was waiting when we arrived. Spotlessly clean and the owners acted quickly when we required assistance with our stair gates. Weather was mixed but we had a fabulous time visiting this area again from the comfort if this property. My son in law loves to cook and the kitchen had everything we needed and more. Appliances were all excellent and easy to use. View from the garden of the sea was lovely to wake up to. I can't fault this property would definitely return!
Amazing house. Has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Lovely welcome pack on arrival. All towels and bedding provided. We had a fabulous week in wonderful Wales!
Graham
An absolute gem, such a beautiful property with everything you could ever need and the location close to all that North Wales has to offer. Thank you we had a great week.
What a lovely home. The house was super comfy and clean with everything we needed for our stay . Great location for local attractions and beautiful beachmountain walks from your doorstep. We will definitely return. Thank you for a great stay
Natalie
This place truly felt like a home away from home. It was spotless, fully equipped with everything we needed, and more. The location was excellent, offering beautiful beach walks, and the beds and bedding were extremely comfortable. We really couldn't ask for anything else. Thank you, we're looking forward to coming back!
Debbie
Fabulous property spacious and every detail well thought out. Quiet area and a lovely walk down to the dunes and beach.
We absolutely recommend this property and would love to stay again. It was perfect for my mum who is bad on her legs as she had a downstairs bedroo.bathroom. The house was high spec but also cozy and homely with added bonus features. Thankyou for our welcome pack and a stay in your beautiful home we had a lovely week even with 'storm Amy' making an appearance.
Debbie
The accommodation is the best value for money we've ever stayed in. Clean, comfortable, easy access to local shops, beaches and pubs. Only concern having a reactive dog was that house has a low stone wall next to a lane which is in regular use so have to be careful with dogs trying to jump the wall and barking at passersby. No blind on door or sun room windows meant some lack of privacy also.
Christopher
Bryn Hafod is a beautiful, wellequipped property, which is ideally located to enjoy the many walks of this part of Wales.
Beautiful accommodation, every single need catered for. High quality fixtures, furnishings and beddingtowels. Garden was perfect both for our dog and us, with the table, sofa and large parasol. Lovely welcome pack which got our holiday off to a great start. We are very familiar with the area but still found new places to explore with our dog. Beach is a 25 minute walk through quiet roads and The Fanny Talbot in Barmouth was an absolute delight! Would heartily recommend Bryn Hafod.
Annette
Amazing place to stay. There is everything you'll ever need for a comfortable stay & more.
Weve just returned from a truly lovely stay at this beautiful cottage and couldnt be happier. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home the place was absolutely spotless and clearly very well cared for. It was also incredibly well stocked with everything we could have needed including an air fryer which made our stay easy and relaxing. The location is just perfect too peaceful, scenic, and with so many delightful places nearby to explore. Whether it was a walk in the countryside, a visit to the coast, or just enjoying the quiet surroundings, we felt completely recharged. Thank you for a wonderful stay we wouldnt hesitate to return!
Angela

Weve had a lovely week at this Bungalow , Everything you need for a lovely stay was provided. Had a couple of issues which were sorted out quickly by Cerys & Dave even though they were on their holiday in Brazil. Beds were really comfy ,and the Bungalow was very clean ,kitchen was well kitted out with lovely cutlery and even had a Ninja Air Fryer
Our second visit to this lovely property. A truly gem of a find, just set back off the main road in a quiet spot. All the facilities who could wish for and furnished to an extremely high standard. An ideal base to explore the area. Would definitely recommend this dog friendly property.
The house was very spacious and so tastefully decorated and furnished. In addition to the 5 Star rating that we have given to the above categories, we were also very impressed to be provided with not only a litre of milk, but butter, Welsh cakes, a good packet of biscuits and a bottle of Prosecco!
One of the best properties we have stayed in if not the best second time we have ... One of the best properties we have stayed in if not the best second time we have stayed there over christmas and we were not dissapointed spotless and lovely touches with christmas tree we could not have asked for more hopefully in the future we will come back to this lovely house
Hayley
Bryn Hafod is an absolutely beautiful cottage. A real home from home. Cerys and staff were all extremely helpful and responded extremely fast to any issues. The cottage was clean and modern with beautiful views. The welcome package was a lovely surprise and we really enjoyed the Welsh cakes. A very strong fan in the livingroom was a welcome treat on those warm days and a comfortable seating area was in the garden. The Sands caravan site, a 5 minute drive away, had a wonderful dog friendly beach with an arcade, ice cream shop, small supermarket and a club house that served delicious meals. Would highly recommend this property and would definitely return.
Lauren
We had a brilliant time. It was the small attention to detail that really made our stay. The highchair and the stool for the children in the bathroom. The ice machine was a huge hit with the children. Beds were comfy and everything was emaculate. Thank you.
I have given 3 stars due to the access problems we had for 2 wheelchair users getting into the garden and to leave the property steep hill, one way is the only route out hence had to yse car to get anywhere, even the shop There are lots of steps in the garden and from every door except the front which is parking area not garden . There are 3 deep steps from the conservatory . This significantly impacted the enjoyment of the garden, both for wheelchair users and the 18month old guest,as a toddler the steps were straight onto slabbing needing watching out for him all the time. The house I'd give 5 stars to. It is beautiful, extremely well equipped, very thoughtful touches lovely welcome pack which was much appreciated The owners have made every effort to provide a great accommodation. For those without mobility issues or toddlers it is lovely. We chose it especially as it has a downstairs bedroom plus downstairs walk in shower, and the open plan one level layout also looked suitable. I agree with others about the access road,it is a surprise to discover this ! I think it is important to alter the house information to reflect fully the access to garden and house. It is also questionable to say it is near the train station . Once you leave the house,up the steep hill you then travel down another incline to the main road, from there it is half a mile. Sykes agent Adam today said that it should be possible to arrange this. He was very apologetic and pleasant.
Beautiful house! Steep single track access lane, but its one way only so no change of meeting something coming the other way, and plenty of room to park when you get there. House is roomy and spotless. Lots of hot water! Beds were comfy. Welcome pack included barabrith, welsh cakes and a box of biscuits. Everything you could want in the kitchen including decent sharp knives for once! Nice selection of games and three smart TVs meant everyone was entertained. Would have liked a pole to reach the blinds on the Velux windows in the 2 largest 1st floor bedrooms, and a curtain to cover the quarter light window in the master. Owners tried to get us a baby gate for the top of the stairs when we requested one but sadly it didnt arrive on time so we had to keep doors closed while little miss was running around. 4 generations of the same family plus dog! had a brilliant time. Local kebabburger van was surprisingly good! Would definitely recommend Bryn Hafod for extended families.
The house is fabulous its our 3rd stay. The only reason i downgrade on comfort the two single beds in the small room arent that comfortable otherwise it a great place to stay
Lorraine L
Very clean, everything you needed. In a really nice place, quiet. Home from home. Nice walks around. Close to the beach. Its just a lovely place, well worth staying here.
Alison
I would definitely recommend a stay here. The house is beautiful and was very warm and spotlessly clean. The kitchen and utility room are really well equipped, and there were plenty of towels available. The only suggestion I have is that the Sykes description could mention that the first part of any car journey involves a drive up a steep and narrow road. Thankfully it's short and one way, so there was no risk of meeting another vehicle. The owners are really friendly and helpful. They took the trouble to contact us before our stay and very kindly offered to post something that we left behind.
Maureen
We all loved the cottage and were really impressed when we arrived as it was even better than the pictures. It was equipped with everything, was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The trains, buses which were exactly on time and shop were a short walk away. We would return again in the future. The only problem we had was having to keep our Jack Russel dog on a lead in the garden as he found a gap to get out on the first day.
The property was brilliant modern clean and well equipped. We couldn't have asked for anything better, it was for our golden wedding anniversary and two birthdays celebrations. The house was on a quiet lane with sea views and close to the popular tourist attraction and the beautiful beach of Harlech which the dog loved. Would definitely recommend and return and would give more stars if I could.
Beautiful accommodation in a pretty location. Central base for visiting close beachescastleswalks. Had a lovely week with family. If youre thinking of renting this property do it! Lots of lovely additions such as a welcome pack and Sky TV packages.
The property is in a fantastic location and is beautifully furnished. The owners have thought of everything that you'll need for both short breaks away, to longer stays. We would thoroughly recommend visiting this property.
One of the best properties we have stayed in spotless ticked all our boxes welcome pack was a lovely touch as was christmas lights and a lovely christmas tree thank you would not hesitate to come back again. only one small comment please could you repair gate at rear garden dogs safety thank you
Sheila
This is a beautiful property that Ive stayed at twice. It has everything you need for a fantastic holiday, and I get such good sleeps, the beds are so comfy. Great for families and I was even happy there on my own. The owners are just quite simply lovely people, nothing is too much trouble and they left a wonderful welcome hamper. I will be booking again for sure.
Natalie
Excellent house which was well equipped and felt like a home. Great location for walks in hills and along the coast. Only 20 minutes walk to the beach.
Rowena
Fantastic property. Loved the house and so good for a family holiday. The open plan downstairs was perfect for relaxing, playing games and eating. 4 great sized bedrooms with 3 bathrooms. It was a delight to stay here. Thank you
Bryn Hafod is beautiful. We have stayed in a lot of places over the years and this was the best! The property was very clean, lovely furnishings and we had everything we needed. We used the train and local buses to go out and about, the bus stop and train station are close by. Our family thoroughly enjoyed staying here, a luxurious property and is highly recommended.
Catherine
Bryn Hafod is a lovely modern comfortable home, far more spacious than we were expecting. The open plan living is designed really well with clear zones for eating, lounging etc. and the kitchen is very well equipped with more than ample crockery, utensils etc. The sleeping and bathing facilities worked really well for us, group of 7 from 3 households, with each household having it own bathshower room. There are lovely sea views from the house and its location is great for access to sandy beaches, beautiful countryside, pretty seaside resorts such as Criccieth and Beaumaris, and Zip World for those wanting an adrenalin fix. Bryn Hafod was ideal for us and we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
Stacey
A beautiful space, in a quiet village perfectly placed to the coast path with a stunning beach, champion butcher and on the Cambrian railway for easy access to all the coastal hotspots Harlech, Portmeirion, Barmouth. Highly recommend staying here!
We had a lovely stay, although a couple of the window blinds wouldnt stay ... We had a lovely stay, although a couple of the window blinds wouldnt stay down over night so it was bright in the room very early, other than that the house was beautiful and the welcome pack is a very nice thought
Fantastic place to stay, has everything needed to enjoy a good break. Only concern was that the listing stated totally enclosed garden, of which it appeared to be? however the gate at the front of the property had come off and was replaced by a pallet obviously a short term fix?. Unfortunately for us the pallet had not been put back in place to make the garden enclosed, consequently one of our dogs went on walk about on the first afternoon of the stay and caused a panic for 15 minutes until we found her near to the main road. Not a good start to the holiday but we quickly got over it and had a good break.
This property was beautiful, it was spacious and airy, clean and comfortable in a peaceful location. Our welcome pack was thoughtfully put together, Thank you, We really enjoyed our stay in this property and would stay there again.
Thank you so much. We had a lovely time.
Great place lovely location couldnt fault will go again
